DFI Europe Board met in Brussels

The DFI Board met for the first time this year in the Brussels Novotel. All items concerning coming events were widely discussed. These events mainly imply seminars or short courses on Pile Testing like the one held in London in June 2007, and Deep soil mixing in on-shore conditions. No definitive dates and venues can be given in this early stage.
First preparations were started up, together with the European Federation of Foundation Contractors (EFFC), for the European Conference to be held in London in June 2010.
The secretariat presented 6 new members and 9 memberships who had been cancelled due to not paying 2007 Membership Dues. Although less numbers, there was an increase of the Corporate Membership by the end of the day and the application of 4 new Corporate Members early 2008 was observed. Most applications appear to come from companies in the north-western part of Europe. Every suggestion for promoting the membership and building up the DFI network is welcomed.
